Back to Basics

Recently I have been loving the back to basics look. This means plain tees, jeans and sneakers. I swapped my colorful tops for basic black and whites. They are remarkably easy to mix and match. I am also spotting a sparkling new Converse, which I bought from Zalora. I didn't know about this shopping site till Frank OCBC debit card gave me a discount voucher from them. I love my converse so much that I may consider getting them in all black too.

With my new look, it's lesser makeup the better. I decided not to put on fake eyelashes. Going with less shading and sparkle. I kept my lips peachy pink with a dab of good old vaseline.

I am also thinking of dyeing my hair a shade darker to red. To do or not to do?

A Hop and A Skip

The color of this dress is really pretty. I paired it with a long lace vest for a fairy look.

Endless Summer

Summer is hot but a trip to the beach makes me forget about the heat. I love to chill out at the beach, just looking for shells and lazing around. Waves lapping my feet and salty sea breeze through my hair: The perfect combination.

Spotted two Harley Riders. I really applaud them for wearing leather jackets despite the heat. I wanted to be a Harley rider when I was young. (*´∀`*)

This summer marks a changing point for me. I feel so happy and blessed with everything that is going on in my life. ヾ(´▽`)ノ Time flies by so quickly. One year went by since I last took some photos at a beach. I had black hair then and always wore black clothing to go with it.

Eat Some Bread, Buy Some Books

Don Q, a new Japanese bakery has opened in Singapore. This bakery is very well known in Japan, it has stores opened in Taiwan, Hong Kong and more. This review came a little late since they have been opened for quite some time, however I have news! They will be opening a second branch soon. Banzai! ヽ(^Д^)ノ Fluffy white bread with cookie rim or sauce filled centers. Cheese burst, chocolate sauce, hotdog filling, there are so many to choose from, it was hard for me to pick just two. They have little "must try!! おすすめ” red cards displayed with the popular choices. Greedy me picked up a Cheese Cookie which looks plain on the outside but was very cheesy and delicious and also a chocolenu, which was filled with chocolate chips and has a crunchy cookie top. The shop assistants are always busy topping up freshly baked pastries onto the trays. Queues run long because of their popularity. Next time you go to Takashimaya, please visit Don Q at #B2-03 for a slice of heaven. ( ^∇^)

Kinokuniya Bookstore.

Kinokuniya is the best bookstore to look for Japanese books or magazines. I visit to get my monthy fix of Japanese magazines like Vivi. If you love magazine supplements, there are always plenty stocked. Agnes B, Bape totes can be bought at a affordable price. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ I found a book on cutie puppy Boo and also a helpful 100-calorie meal cookbook. There is a wide variety of manga and comic available. If you can't find something you want in stock, it's possible to order it from Japan, just check with the friendly staff ♪( ´▽`)

Vivo City

Photos snapped at Vivo City Rooftop Sky Park.

I'm wearing Japanese leather school bag from Sugar Candy. Vintage leather pumps thrifted in Hong Kong. Rinka-Chan accessory. Black faux fox tail from Japan. Ribbon clip with pearl danglers. Collar sweater top and plaid shortswool-blend shorts thrifted from *SCAPE (Street + Market). Current accessory obsession: Over-The-Knee Socks. Sweet bunny with bow tie ring. Wayfarer Glasses. Sally Hansen Extreme Wear "Hot Red" nail color.

It's my first visit to Vivo City for the year. I absolutely love the Marché at roof top level, their rösti and mushroom soup are the best! (´ω`★) The view is good and there is always a cool breeze blowing. During weekends, some families gather to picnic and couples to romance. Its a good place to sit back and relax. Sometimes children (or unabashed adults like me) can be seen splashing water in the waddle pool. (ヘ。ヘ)

On a side note, I think I need to reinvent my wardrobe soon. It's filled with doubles and outdated stuff. Any ideas on how to recycle a pair of old bell-bottom jeans?
